How to manage Content Blocks

Content Blocks allow you to create different kinds of blocks — with images and text — and place them anywhere on your website. This will allow you to create more complex and content-oriented websites, ultimately making your website more unique and in tune with your business.

What are Content Blocks?  #

Content Blocks are simple block lists, with each block having a title, an image and some text content. They work like the other sections on your website – About Us or Amenities. The main difference is that you can create as many Content Block section as you want and distribute them anywhere across your website.

To recap:

  • Content Blocks are composed of simple blocks, with image, title and text;
  • You can create as many Content Blocks as you need, each with any number of items;
  • You can place Content Blocks anywhere on your website: on any page, on different pages, repeated on the same page, etc;
  • Content Blocks are managed in their own library, allowing you to reuse them easily.

You can mix and match the different elements of each block to create unique combinations:

  • Use title, image and text content to display a rich feed of upcoming events;
  • Use icons with text to showcase your business highlights;
  • Create title-only blocks to list top partners or collaborators.

The possibilities are endless.

How to add Content Blocks? #

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to add Content Blocks to your website:

Step 3: Add your Content Block section #

It is very simple to add new or existing Content Blocks to any page of your website.

  1. Open one of your website’s pages – Home, About Us, etc.
  2. Then, in the page view, select Add Section and then look for the Content Block entry.
  3. Select New Content Block or pick one of the existing ones. If it’s a new Content Block, you have to set the title for you Content Block section and click Add Content Block
  4. This takes you to the Content Block view, where you can now edit the content of each block.

Step 4: Add content to your blocks #

Content Blocks are as valuable as the content they have. In addition to limitless Content Block sections, you can also add any number of blocks to each section. To add blocks to this new section, click Add block

Now, you can set the different elements of each block:

TitleThe title of the block. This is styled as a level 3 heading on your website, you can use it for titles or other short textual highlights.
DescriptionThe text content for the block. This works like all other description elements on your Esesito website, allowing you to add any text with different headers, links or bullets.
ImageThe feature image for the block. This is an optional element. The image will always be placed on the left of the text content (on Desktop view) or above the text content (on Mobile view).
AlignmentThis option provides further customisation to the placement of the image on the Desktop view and allows you to select the alignment of the image and text: top, middle or bottom.

 Please, note that: You will receive the notifications on the email address and mobile number that you used to register your Esesito account.

Step 5: Edit the content in your Content Block sections #

Similarly to other elements on the Editor – Products, Services, Testimonials, etc. – you can very easily edit, sort or delete blocks.

Edit Content #

Just click the block name, this takes you to the block view where you can edit all the elements of each block.

Change Block sorting #

You can move your blocks up and down in the Content Block section. Once on the Content Block view:

  1. Click on the Edit button to enable the editing mode;
  2. Using the left “handle” on each page, sort the pages as you want;
  3. Click Save to publish your changes.

Delete Blocks #

Deleting blocks is rather easy. Once on the Content Block view:

  1. Click on the Edit button to enable the editing mode;
  2. Click the “bin” icon on the right;
  3. Click Save to publish your changes.

Step 6: Reuse your Content Blocks #

All your content blocks are managed in a library, making them easy to find and reuse. You can easily edit and update your content blocks in the library, and any changes you make will be reflected across all instances of the block on your website. This saves you time and ensures consistency across your website, allowing you to focus on other essential aspects of your business.

 Please, note that: You will receive the notifications on the email address and mobile number that you used to register your Esesito account.
