Some customers do not want their address shown on their website and on the Google Business Profile we created for them. This is most often the case with mobile service providers and certain home-based businesses.
In those cases, we will use the areas or city that you provided on signup, to create an accurate representation of where you work, without revealing your address.
This way, users can still find you and have a general understanding of the areas you serve.
How to keep your address from showing on Google Business Profile #
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to hide your address from showing on your Google Business Profile:
- Step 1: Log into your Editor
- Step 2: Head to Contact Us
- Step 3: Edit your Address Visibility
- Step 4: Save your Changes

Step 1: Log into your Editor #
Log into My Hub and access your website Editor by clicking on Edit Website.

Step 2: Head to Contact Us and Location #
Click on Sections. You will see the Contact Us and Location sections. Both of these sections may contain your address so it is important to check your address visibility in both places.
Step 3: Edit your Address Visibility #
To hide your address, make sure the ‘Address visibility’ option is set to grey.
Step 4: Save your Changes #

Hit Save to finish and save your changes. Please note that the changes may not take effect immediately and it is important to wait for this change to be updated to Google My Business
